Company History

Incorporated in 1995, the concept of Rex Rentals & Realty, Inc., is a very simple one. Gain the respect and trust of our clients through hard work, and treating the tenant fairly.

Broker/Principal Kym A. Ottaviani, has been active in the real estate profession since 1980. He has served on the St. Petersburg Board of REALTORS property managers committee.  The Pinellas REALTOR Organization Leasing and Property Management Committee as a founding member. He has served as President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of NARPM, has taught seminars and has been a speaker for the St. Petersburg Housing Authority.  Property management in the Saint Petersburg area has been a life long quest.

Our Screening Process

We have the networking to do in-house screening of the applicant. This gives us a better feel and understanding of the person that we are interviewing. We have developed a complex system of checks and balances to help us attain the best possible tenant. At times we will use an outside verification company if we cannot receive sufficient records locally. We use the following resources:

  • FDLE Sexual Predators Report
  • Employment History
  • Crisscross Reference of Current and Past Tenancies
